Have you found yourself asking this question, ‘So what is a nappy cake anyway’?

Baby nappy cakes, or diaper cakes and they are known in America have become an extremely popular gift to give a new parent in hospital or a soon to be mum at a baby shower or maternity leave farewell.

A nappy cake is made with disposable nappies, baby blankets, muslin wraps, bibs, socks, bath products and an assortment of other practical baby items a new parent can’t do without. These items are then arranged in such a way that they look like a tied cake on a cake board.  Some creative arrangements can also include these items to be assembled in the shape of a trike, motorbike or baby cradle.
